Twenty-four year old Samson Ashe has been creating music since he was thirteen years old. All those years of work have evidently paid off, and he has just released his debut single ‘Too Rough’ via tastemaker label 37 Adventures (JONES, Royce Wood Junior). It’s a seriously good first offering, which fuses the best of soul classics with modern beats and funky production. The track cleverly samples ‘I’m Too Tough For Mr Big Stuff’ by Vicki Anderson, bringing it right up to date with additions from Ashe, P*Nut and Ben Baptie.
